LANGUAGE CAMPS PRINTER FRIENDLY VERS.

AGES 3-5 Rising K-2nd “Fun Camp" Introductory topics for new learners. Basic colors, numbers, body parts, family etc. are covered in this wonderful and “FUN” summer camp. Crafts and games are designed around each topic to keep the camps fun and interesting throughout the day. Rising 2nd – 4th “Fun FRENCH Camp" (includes older mix aged students for FRENCH camp) Introductory topics for new learners. Basic colors, numbers, body parts, family etc. are covered in this wonderful and “FUN” summer camp. Crafts and games are designed around each topic to keep the camps fun and interesting throughout the day. “SUPER SILLY” – Same idea as SILLY camp, but different everyday topics and field trip. Have fun being SILLY as we review common school themes and lesson with a fun twist! This helps reinforce the concepts and impacts the learning process. Students will have a field trip at the end of the week to pratice their skills in a “real life” situation. Rising 2nd - 7th Mandarin Culture Camp - Come learn about fun culture and introduction to the Mandarin language. Topics include origami, marital arts, calligraphy, dance, language and more. A great way to spend a HOT afternoon! * August language camps are focused toward preparing students for a smooth transition into a partial immersion language program (i.e. Blythe Academy.) However, these camps are also appropriate for new learners within the specified age range. ** This camp is for advanced students already attending an immersion program or for students with strong language skills. (Please call for prerequisites.)

Camps are the same wonderful MAD SCIENCE format you've seen around town, (in English) with the exception of our NEW SPANISH MAD SCIENCE CLASS 7/19/10! “NASA: Journey into Outer Space” From our Earth's atmosphere to the outer reaches or our solar system, this hands-on program for children ages 5-12 sends them on a quest for exploration! Comets, planets, stars and more are all waiting to be discovered. Learn about the four forces of flight, the challenges of space travel, and participate in a rocket launch! “The Science of Space, Nature & Secret Codes” Campers will discover how to send secret messages using special codes, explore their environment, and find out how science can help us to protect our planet. Your Mad Scientist will learn how Newton's Laws are at work in their favorite sports and join the ranks of space examining the mysteries of the solar system. “Secret Agent Lab” Go inside a scientist lab and discover the secrets you've always wondered about. Use your skills as a chemist to make your own radical reactions. Compare fingerprints and discover the mysteries of DNA as you fine tune your secret agent skills. Learn about bones and much more to become a Secret Agent!
